Privacy Policy for "Comma Formatter" Chrome Extension

Comma Formatter is an internal tool used by our marketing team to manage our own advertising accounts (Facebook, TikTok, Google Ads) and our own Airtable workspace. It is distributed privately and is not intended for general public use.

1. What data do we collect?

The extension does not track usage and sends no analytics. It sends requests only to our own backend, and only in these cases:

• When the user clicks one of its buttons — the request carries only the data needed to perform that action (see below).
• When the popup opens — the access key is checked; the request carries the key and no other data.
• When one of our Tableau dashboards first shows a tooltip in a tab — the list of dashboards to add buttons to is loaded; the request carries the key and no other data.

The data sent with an action:

• Identifiers and values from our own pages — ad, ad set and campaign IDs, creative names, Airtable record IDs, budget and bid values, read from our own Airtable views, Tableau dashboards and Ads Manager tables. On Tableau, the text of the tooltip the button belongs to is sent so the backend can find the creative it names.
• Creative names typed or pasted into the popup — when the user searches for creatives from the popup.
• An access key — a shared credential that authorises every request. It is issued by us to authorised team members and entered manually by the user. It identifies the team, not the individual.
• The product (Liven or Overwell) — included in requests that read or write our Airtable bases, to tell our backend which of our own bases the request applies to.

We do NOT collect:

• Your name, email address, passwords, or any personal identifiers
• Account credentials of any third-party service
• Your browsing history, or content of pages other than the identifiers listed above
• Any data unrelated to the extension's functionality

2. How do we use the data?

• To perform the action the user requested (for example, pausing an ad set, changing a budget, finding a creative or updating its record in our Airtable base)
• To reject requests that do not carry a valid access key
• To detect and fix bugs, using the request logs described below

We do not use any of this data for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making.

3. What is stored on your device?

• Two settings are stored using Chrome's extension storage (chrome.storage.sync): the access key and the product selected in the popup (Liven or Overwell). Because this is Chrome's sync storage, Chrome may replicate them across browsers where you are signed in to the same Chrome profile.
• When you open our own internal Creative Manager page (creative-manager-ui.pages.dev), the extension copies the same two settings into that page's localStorage, so the access key does not have to be entered twice. If the key is removed from the extension, it is removed from that page the next time the page is open.
• On our Tableau dashboards, the list of dashboards the extension adds buttons to is cached in the tab's sessionStorage until the tab is closed. It contains no user data.
• The access key never leaves your browser except as a request header sent to our own backend, from the extension or from our Creative Manager page.
• You can remove all of this at any time by uninstalling the extension and clearing site data for the Creative Manager page.

4. Where does the data go?

• Requests go to our own backend (Cloudflare Workers), which forwards them only to our own Airtable workspace and our own advertising accounts (Meta, TikTok, Google Ads) to perform the requested action
• Our backend keeps no database of its own: the result of an action is written only to our own Airtable base or advertising account it applies to. Request logs (the endpoint called, its timestamp, and the IDs and creative names in the request) are kept in our Cloudflare Workers logs for a limited retention period and are accessible only to our team
• Data is not sold, and is not shared with third parties for any other purpose
